Itinerary: Colorado Autumn Aspen Photo Tour
Saturday September 26- Meet and greet at the Box Canyon Lodge in Ouray, Colorado https://boxcanyonouray.com
Sunday September 27- The Million Dollar Highway towards Silverton.
Monday September 28- Dallas Divide area with spectacular views of Mount Sneffels, Owl Creek Pass
Tuesday September 29– Woods Lake, Telluride
Wednesday September 30– Crystal Lake, Workshop concludes after the morning field session.
Location:
The stunning San Juan Mountains in the high country of Colorado are not to be missed when the autumn aspen groves are in peak gold and yellows of late September. Come join me as we explore the spectacular landscapes check full of snow capped peaks, reflective lakes and charming backcountry vistas.
Expect any kind of weather. Though most of our locations are near the roadway, please note there will be hiking on trails involved to access some the locations. Expect some short hikes 1-2 miles at elevation. Bring appropriate clothing and footwear (good hiking boots).
EQUIPMENT SUGGESTIONS:
A sturdy tripod is a necessity for good landscapes. Participants should have a working knowledge of their equipment (know which button does what!) before the workshop. I suggest a SLR camera with a wide-angle lens (17-35mm range) and a medium telephoto lens up to 300-400mm.
