Oregon Coast & Redwoods Photography Tour and Workshop

Dates: May 21-27, 2023

Price:  $3000.00 single,  ($5000.00 couples/sharing one room)  Workshop price is for 7 days of instruction and 6 nights of lodging only. Transportation and meals are students’ responsibility. We will carpool. Limited to 8 students. 

Cancellation Policy:If you cancel and the workshop is otherwise filled, we will refund you the full amount you have paid towards the tuition, minus a $150 service charge. If you cancel and the workshop does not fill, then you will be refunded according to the following schedule, based on the full fee of the Workshop:

• Greater than 90 days from the start date of the Workshop: full refund minus $150 fee.
•  Less than 90 days: no refund
• Refunds will be paid by the same method that the original payment was made.

We highly recommend purchasing “Travel Insurance” at time of registration. Required on any international trip.AAA or Allianz offer policies

Itinerary:

Sunday, May 21– meet and greet in Bandon, Oregon. Sunset shoot at Bandon Beach.

Monday, May 22- Coast near Bandon, Cape Arago State Park

Tuesday, May 23- Cape Blanco State Park beach and lighthouse

Wednesday, May 24- South Oregon coast, drive to Crescent City, CA   Jebediah Smith State Park redwoods

Thursday, May 25– Crescent City lighthouse Samuel Boardman State Park in Oregon

Friday, May 26– Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park,  Damnation Creek Trail, Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park coast and  rhododendrons in bloom  (expect to hike up to 3-4 miles in total)

Saturday, May 27- Jebediah Smith State Park redwoods

The workshop concludes after the morning field session

Location:

 It’s time to make a return visit to the famed southern Oregon coastline and the towering redwood forests of northern California.

We will begin by shooting at the fantastic Bandon Beach with its craggy sea stacks including the cool-looking Wizards Hat. There is also a scenic lighthouse in town. Then we’ll venture a bit north to check out the highly scenic Cape Arago State Park area. Also, one of my favorite areas in Oregon is Cape Blanco with its outstanding lighthouse and scenic beach. 

We’ll work our way down the Oregon Coast to check out the Samuel Boardman Scenic Corridor and then end in Crescent City, California where we will spend the next three days exploring lighthouses, the coastline, and the famed redwood forests where we should find blooming wildflowers and rhododendrons.

There is a lot to pack in with this nearly weeklong adventure. Our cameras will be keeping quite busy capturing this amazing stretch of Pacific Coastline.
